Well, this is interesting. We ve been saying all the morning that even if Eagles , he might not be the best fantasy bet given that he d likely be part of a committee also featuring Kendall Hunter and Anthony Dixon. Now, we have official confirmation. From the 49ers official Twitter account:
Lineup changes: Adam Snyder will start at right guard. Kendall Hunter will start at running back. Oct 02 via Favorite
Gore is in fact active, but considering that he s averaged just 2.5 yards per carry this year even when he s been the lone featured back, the fact that he s officially sharing time with Kendall Hunter for at least one week might convince fantasy owners to find a different option.
Hunter turned a lot of heads in the preseason, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. But standing just 5-foot-7, he may be more effective as a change of pace than a featured back. He s certainly more likely than Gore to break off a long run, but he s still a risky bet. Start either player at your own risk.
